MY CAREER HEADSTART
No one was there to help me navigate the workplace. I went to the “School of Hard Knocks” to learn, grow, and change as needed to make it in the world of work. This is why I am passionate about helping to empower emerging professionals to start their career journey in full confidence through preparation.

Proud Moment @ Work
In Reverse Mentorship program, I mentored the EVP of General Counsel and Chief Human Resources Officer. At the end of our second session, he stated, “I have learned more in this hour than I have in a long time” and told me, “You are amazing!” I was also able to influence innovative initiatives for the company.
Memorable Candidate
I attended a Professional Development & Career Fair for Duke University.
Hundreds of students were in attendance, but one particular student stopped
by my table. He had on very casual clothes. He was unaware of the career fair.
I learned ne was a senior and had no job prospects. I advised him to come back
with a collared shirt, slacks and his resume. He returned about 30 minutes later
dress appropriately with a huge, confident smile. I'm sure he found employment
that day for taking it seriously and making the necessary change for success.
